The 2025 edition will take a targeted approach and focus on buyer-seller linkages.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u2018This has become one of the most popular courses offered by our Business Hub and last year saw 300 SMMEs take part. Not only do participants get a masterclass in buyer readiness, but they are then able to put those newly acquired skills to the test in a match-up session with potential clients,\u2019 said Alderman James Vos, Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>To qualify for the programme, businesses must meet the following criteria:<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be based in Cape Town and owned by a South African citizen.<\/li>\n<li>Be in operation for a minimum of 18 months.<\/li>\n<li>Exempted Micro Enterprises (businesses with an annual turnover of less than R10 million) and Qualifying Small Enterprises (businesses with an annual turnover between R10 million and R50 million).<\/li>\n<li>Be able to handle increased market demands and must have a competitive advantage in the market they trade in.<\/li>\n<li>The entrant must be a registered City vendor.<\/li>\n<li>The entrant must be willing and able to attend online training sessions as well as physical networking buyer matchup sessions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u2018During last year\u2019s sessions, it was wonderful to see how responsive and engaged the participating business owners were to learning and building their brands.
