The City has launched a new platform to unlock economic opportunities for the food and beverage sector, together with the Western Cape Economic Development Partnership (WCEDP) and industry business partners. The WCEDP\u2019s Programme Lead Brian Adams explains: \u201cThe Food and Beverage Growth Coalition is an independent platform that will help government and business leaders develop a reciprocal relationship of responsibility and accountability.<\/p>\n

The City\u2019s Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth, Alderman James Vos, said that structured and outcome-driven stakeholder engagements are critical for sharing knowledge, planning and implementing together, ensuring alignment for the realisation of growth opportunities and resolution of challenges.<\/p>\n

\u2018Sustainable responsiveness calls for collaborative partnerships between all sectors \u2013 government, business, communities and academia in the form of growth coalitions within Cape Town\u2019s most high value industries. The City is committed to eliminating the barriers to doing business, and through this approach, will support its current regulatory reform process,\u2019 said Alderman Vos.<\/p>\n
