The aim is to equip them to become suppliers of choice within their industries to help grow their businesses. \u00a0Read more below:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The five-day workshop is administered by The Business Associate and funded by the City. It is designed to develop small businesses into becoming suppliers of choice within their industries.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The course covers supply chain integration,\u00a0customer and market positioning,\u00a0financial growth,\u00a0operational and supply chain alignment and performance management.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Participating businesses were selected via the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.investcapetown.com\/fr\/how-can-we-help\/business-support-services\/business-funding-small-business-development\/\" title=\"City\u2019s Business Hub\">City\u2019s Business Hub<\/a> and following a thorough vetting process. The SMMEs are also vendors on the City\u2019s database.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u2018Research has found that small, medium-sized and microenterprises (SMMEs) in South Africa contribute about 35% to the country&#8217;s yearly GDP, while absorbing around 50% of all formal employment.
