The City of Cape Town\u2019s Mayoral Committee Member for Economic Growth, Alderman James Vos, officiated at the opening of a facility in Paarden Eiland for Everlectric, a local business that helps companies cost-effectively transition to electric vehicles. The company already services well-known clients such as Woolworths and recently secured venture financing through Edge Growth, a catalytic partner in the Green Outcomes Fund, which is managed by GreenCape<\/a>, the City\u2019s green economy partner.<\/p>\n

Referring to data from NAAMSA (The Automotive Business Council, formerly known as the National Association of Automobile Manufacturers of South Africa), Alderman Vos highlighted record new energy vehicle sales in 2023 and an 88% increase in sales during the third quarter of 2024 compared with the same period the previous year.<\/p>\n

\u2018These figures are proof that the shift toward electric mobility is well under way and that the market for cleaner transport solutions is rapidly expanding,\u2019 said Alderman Vos.<\/p>\n
