The 3rd annual Bellville Business Expo is back to help local SMMEs grow
STATEMENT BY THE MAYORAL COMMITTEE MEMBER FOR ECONOMIC GROWTH ALDERMAN JAMES VOS
Entrepreneurs and innovators will once again take the spotlight at this year’s Bellville Business Expo, taking place on 28 and 29 October 2025 at the Tyger Valley Shopping Centre.
Administered by the Greater Tygerberg Partnership (GTP), which receives funding from the City, we aim to build on the success of 2024’s event which saw hundreds of small, medium, and micro enterprises (SMMEs) showcase their products and services, forge new connections, and gain valuable exposure. I thoroughly enjoyed engaging with so many of these passionate entrepreneurs, hearing their stories, and seeing firsthand how their drive and creativity are shaping our local economy.
The City proudly funds the GTP because we recognise Bellville’s immense value as a vibrant hub with potential for even greater economic expansion. Through the GTP, we support projects that promote urban renewal, business development, and investment attraction. The Bellville Business Expo is one of these key deliverables, a clear example of how collaboration between government and the private sector can unlock real growth and opportunity.
This year’s expo, themed around sustainability and innovation, promises to be even bigger and better. Visitors can expect to hear insights from industry experts, products from select regional businesses, and networking opportunities with investors, government representatives, and corporate partners. It’s a space where great ideas meet real opportunities, and where SMMEs can gain the tools and connections to scale their businesses.
I look forward to being at the Expo again this year to connect with even more local businesses and to celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit that makes Bellville, and Cape Town as a whole, a city of opportunity.
